MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS Once you have placed your order, the dress will be made to the exact measurements that have been provided. It is therefore recommended that you DO NOT lose or pick up weight after placing the order, as this will obviously affect how the dress fits on your wedding day. If you are pregnant, please consider that you will probably be larger by the time of the wedding and amend the measurements accordingly. We recommend that you get someone to take the measurements for you, as it is difficult to do them on your own (like the Bust and Hollow to Hem measurements). Ask them to either use a tape measure or some string that they can then measure afterwards. You will need to note down the measurements in inches. Please note that we are unable to accept responsibility if the gown has been made to the wrong size due to inaccurate measurements being taken. ![]() Bust This is not your bra size! Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. Your arms should be relaxed and down at your sides. You must wear a bra when taking this measurement. ![]() Waist This is the smallest part of your waist, just below your rib cage, where the smallest part of the natural curve lies. Typically it's an inch or so above your belly button and is also known as the natural waistline. It's not where you normally wear your trousers. ![]() Hips This is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone. Measurement is taken approximately 6-7 inches below the natural waistline. ![]() Hollow to hem Start the tape at the hollow at the base of your neck and measure down to where you want the hem. Also, be sure you are wearing the same height heel you'll wear on your wedding day. ![]() Arm Girth Relax your arm and measure around the largest part of the upper arm |
